  • AirForce has further streamlined their Texan platform into a highly nimble carbine that doesn't shed power.. The Texan Carbine shaves a full 6 inches off the original Texan, and drops the weight by nearly a full pound to 7.5 lbs., which allows for maximum maneuverability while out in the field. The 490cc air cylinder is capable of lobbing rounds downrange at velocities of up to 935 fps in .45 caliber, 1065 fps in the .357 caliber, and 1130 fps in .308 caliber. That kind of muzzle energy equates to an astounding 400, 250, and 225 FPE in each respective caliber. The Texan Carbine features adjustable power, to tune your rifle for the specific ammo being used, an adjustable buttpad, and 2-stage trigger that can be set as low as 2.06 lbs. With the 11mm rails that are machined into the top and bottom of the barrel shroud, one can mount just about any accessory you want. As with all AirForce guns, the scope rail is an 11mm dovetail, but AirForce has their own dovetail to weaver adapter that can be purchased separately.
  • The Texan Carbine Carbon Fiber tank model features the new TX2 valve that allows for more power while reducing the weight. With its 475cc Carbon Fiber tank filling up to 250 BAR (approx. 3600 psi) fill pressure, the Texan Carbine CF is now capable of sending rounds downrange at energies of up to 600 foot-pounds, compared to the 400-fpe of which the original Texan Carbine. The Texan Carbine features adjustable power for shooting between 2-10 shots per fill, an adjustable buttpad for a secure hold, and a 2-stage trigger that adjusts down to a 2.06 lb trigger pull. Atop this streamlined system rests the 11mm Dovetail rail for mounting your own choice of optics. The Texan Carbine version was built as a highly-maneuverable PCP ideal for navigating heavy undergrowth or easy movement inside your hunting blind, The Texan Carbine is at home on any hunt.
  • Introducing the New AirForce Texan LSS. With its 34" barrel, it can hurl .45-caliber ammo as fast as 1,000 FPS at muzzle energies of up to 600 foot-pounds, AirForce reports. And, it can do it much quieter than its older, unmoderated sibling. Before this, AirForce Airguns shooters desiring the same big-bore bite as the Texan with significantly less bark often looked to the Texan SS and its Sound-Loc System technology. But, that option comes with lower velocities and muzzle energies that go along with an almost 10-inch shorter barrel.
  • The AirForce Texan LSS just received an upgrade with the addition of a 475cc Carbon-fiber tank. The CF tank's 475cc, 250 BAR (approx. 3600 psi) fill pressure and updated TX2 valve help boost the Texan LSS' maximum muzzle energy from an already whopping 600+ foot-pounds of energy to over 700 FPE! And, of course, the slightly smaller, carbon-fiber tank weighs less than its aluminum counterpart, bringing the total weight of the Texan LSS down to a feathery 6.35 lbs. (compared to the 8-lb. weight of the standard Texan LSS.)
  • The AirForce Texan made headlines throughout the firearm industry when upon release it was billed the world's most powerful production air rifle. The Texan turned heads then, and AirForce building upon that success with the AirForce Texan SS big bore air rifle! The Texan SS can give you up to 400-foot pounds of muzzle energy out of a compact size. Compared to its older brother, the Texan SS is just over 45" in carbine length while the older version is around 48". But within that compact size, AirForce also added a fully-shrouded barrel built Sound-Loc System technology. Compact size, sound suppression and big bore power are attributes to the perfect air rifle hunting platform. The AirForce Texan SS, a big bore without the big sound.
  • The TexanSS Carbon-Fiber air rifle in .457 caliber model features AirForce's patented Sound-Loc System technology, which helps take some of the bark out of this rifle's bite. The power has been increased, thanks to its 475cc carbon-fiber air tank with a 250 BAR (3600 psi) fill pressure and updated TX2 valve. With those numbers, the CF model slings rounds downrange at muzzle energies of up to 600 fpe! What's more, the CF model is 20 percent lighter, weighing in at 6.76 lbs!
  • Airgun writer Tom Gaylord did some velocity testing of the Texan. See a chart of his findings in the supplementary images. The AirForce Texan delivers more power than any other production air rifle: .45-caliber bullets leave the muzzle at 1000 fps (up to 500+ ft-lbs. of energy). Load, cock, aim, squeeze and deliver jaw-dropping power. An entire world of hunting opportunities has just opened up to you!
  • The AirForce Texan with carbon fiber tank gives you a lighter air rifle featuring upgraded TX2 valve technology that also boosts the power. The new version includes a 475cc carbon fiber air bottle, and weighs in at only 6.12 lbs., which is around 20 percent lighter than the standard version of the Texan, but with muzzle energy of up to 754 fpe in .457 and 800 fpe in .50. The tank now fills to a max pressure of 3600 psi (250 bar) instead of 3000 psi (200 bar) for the previous model, giving you more power with a rifle that's the same size. The Texan remains one of the most powerful airguns on the market, and is capable of hunting almost any big game you can find in North American, and elsewhere as well. This air rifle comes with an extended 11mm dovetail scope rail on it, but it doesn't have sights, so you'll want to mount a scope for increased accuracy, especially when hunting. If you're looking for a supremely powerful and accurate air rifle for big game or small game hunting, now with a lower weight and even more power, get an AirForce Texan with carbon fiber tank at Airgun Depot today.
