AirForce has further streamlined their Texan platform into a highly nimble carbine that doesn’t shed power.. The Texan Carbine shaves a full 6 inches off the original Texan, and drops the weight by nearly a full pound to 7.5 lbs., which allows for maximum maneuverability while out in the field. The 490cc air cylinder is capable of lobbing rounds downrange at velocities of up to 935 fps in .45 caliber, 1065 fps in the .357 caliber, and 1130 fps in .308 caliber. That kind of muzzle energy equates to an astounding 400, 250, and 225 FPE in each respective caliber. The Texan Carbine features adjustable power, to tune your rifle for the specific ammo being used, an adjustable buttpad, and 2-stage trigger that can be set as low as 2.06 lbs. With the 11mm rails that are machined into the top and bottom of the barrel shroud, one can mount just about any accessory you want. As with all AirForce guns, the scope rail is an 11mm dovetail, but AirForce has their own dovetail to weaver adapter that can be purchased separately.
